Selene Terms of Use

By using Selene you accept these terms. They're short: please read them.

What Selene is

Selene is a tarot app for entertainment and personal reflection. Readings are generated by artificial intelligence, or by the app itself when there's no connection, based on the traditional meaning of the cards.

Tarot doesn't predict the future or offer certainty. Readings are an invitation to think about your situation. They're not facts or professional advice.

Selene is provided by Pablo Cañardo Cervera, a sole trader (autónomo) in Spain, tax ID 46817893J, with registered address at Carrer de Montilla, 9, 08970 Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona), Spain.

What Selene isn't

• It's not a substitute for professionals. Don't use Selene to make health, legal, financial or investment decisions. For that, talk to a professional.
• It's not a crisis support service. If you're going through a very hard time or thinking about hurting yourself, reach out now: contact your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US) or a crisis line in your country (in the US, call or text 988).
• AI can make mistakes. It may give inaccurate or inconsistent answers. Don't rely on it for anything important.

Account

You don't need an account to use Selene. If you want one (for example, for Selene Plus), you sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send you; there are no passwords. You're responsible for what's done with your account: it's personal and not to be shared.

Free use

Without paying, you get one AI conversation a day: one reading plus up to 3 follow-up questions about it (counted per account and per connection). Readings without AI are unlimited.

Selene Plus

• Who sells it to you: the subscription is sold through Link (by Stripe), which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and reseller. Link charges the price, calculates and collects the VAT or sales tax that applies in your country, sends you receipts and invoices, and handles payment support, refund requests and disputes (support.link.com). Your bank statement will show LINK.COM* SELUCI.
• Price: €4.99 a month, taxes included. It may be shown converted into your local currency.
• Payment methods: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link.
• What's included: up to 60 AI messages a day (fair use) and Selene's voice.
• Renewal: it renews automatically every month until you cancel.
• Cancellation: any time, from "Manage subscription" in the app or at link.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and you keep Plus until then. Partial months aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
• Payment details: handled by Link/Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

Right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Selene Plus is a digital service that starts as soon as you pay: when subscribing, before going to payment, you tick a box in the app by which you expressly ask for it to start immediately and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. Even so, Link/Stripe may apply any withdrawal or cooling-off periods required by consumer protection law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Selene to:

• carry out illegal activities;
• harass other people;
• try to overload the service or get around its limits;
• scrape its content automatically.

We may limit use to protect the service. For example, there's already a maximum number of readings per day. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, for example through automation, account sharing or attempts to get around the limits.

Content

• Your questions and conversations belong to you. See the privacy policy to learn how they're handled.
• The illustrations, the card texts, the design and the Selene name belong to Pablo Cañardo Cervera. You can share your readings (for example, the social media image the app creates) for personal use.

Service

Selene is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working well, but there may be interruptions, errors or changes. We may modify, expand or stop offering features.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not responsible for decisions you make based on the readings, or for indirect damages arising from using the app. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms, we'll let you know in the app along with the update date. They're governed by Spanish law. For any questions: hola@seluci.com.
